Wide Horizon is first and foremost about Christian Science nursing and its support to those seeking scientific spiritual healing. We strive to maintain an atmosphere conducive to healing as the result of complete reliance upon Christian Science as expounded in Mary Baker Eddy’s signature work, Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures. Those of us who work at Wide Horizon are blessed because we get to see this wonderful Divine Science at work firsthand, and see its demonstration of spiritual healing.

Blessings at Wide Horizon – A Christian Science Healing
“Wide Horizon is a haven for healing, for quiet stillness, for answers. It’s a place to hear God’s messages and feel renewal,” said a former patient about her healing experience at Wide Horizon.
She added, “Wide Horizon’s healing atmosphere was and is tangible.”
There had been a car accident. An eighteen-wheel semi-truck had moved over to her lane without seeing her car, sending her off the highway. After the crash, she found that she couldn’t move normally. Yet there was no question in her mind, she desired a Christian Science healing. And, she knew where she wanted to go – her local Christian Science Nursing Care Facility, Wide Horizon.
Upon arrival, she was placed on the highest level of Christian Science nursing care 24/7. She radically relied on God and Christian Science nurses to meet every need. In loving support of her and the work of the Christian Science practitioner, who gave daily metaphysical treatment on the case, the Christian Science nurses would often bring into the room healing thoughts, inspiration, and encouragement. In response to this daily care and treatment, her thought was gently turned by the Christ from accident and injury to restoration and healing.
She strived every waking moment to get closer to God and felt the loving atmosphere was supportive of Christian Science healing. There was no questioning whether she’d ever be normal and active again. She believed her complete and permanent healing was not simply an option, but a certain outcome. There wasn’t any doubt that her understanding of God would bring a full demonstration through Christian Science practice. In fact, she knew her spiritual identity was “fearfully and wonderfully made” and, therefore, her true being was indestructible and whole.
“How glorious to walk out healed, restored, renewed,” she said. “I could not have done this at my home. My every need was met as I learned more about God and His masterpiece, me!”
